Intro
This is the documentation for the digital experiences in the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center. This only outlines displays created by Jack Porter. If there are any issues with these displays, please reach out to your Jack Porter contact to address the problem.
We have outlined each interactive display in the lobby and the alumni office. We will cover how to create new and edit current content. If you make edits to the content and you find issues while doing so, please reach out to the Jack Porter team and we will address the concern and update this documentation if needed.
Here is an outline of what is covered in this documentation:
Playlists and Slides
The video wall towers and the student persona display at the front of the lobby both have similar modes for displaying graphics and video assets from a schedule. The method of creating this content will follow an identical process. First, we will discuss our terms then we will describe the publishing process.
Slides
Slides are the lowest hierarchy of content in this process. This term is associated with individual assets such as images, graphics or videos. If you plan to create a slide using an image, you will want to input a duration for the slide. By default video assets that are uploaded to a slide will inherit the duration of the video, so no additional duration is required in the slide creation.
For the student persona display specifically, we have built a slide block for the "Ambient Interactive Cascade" mode. This can be selected in the playlist to inject the interactive content into the scheduled content. The duration for the interactive break will be set in the slide setting. If the display is interacted with, the playlist will continue from where it left off after the interactive times out.
Tip: Name your slides in descriptive ways in order to help your organization of the playlists.
Playlists
Playlists are the mode of grouping slides into playable sequences. This will allow you to create a group of slides to display in the order of your choosing. Select as many slides as you like and add in order to the playlist. You can drag to re-order slides and click "add new" to select an additional slide to the end of your playlist. We suggest naming your playlists according to function or need to help with identification in the schedule.
You are able to create and select a "default" playlist. This default option will be published when there is not a scheduled playlist chosen. We suggest creating and naming a playlist as "Default Playlist" so your team knows what will regularly be showing.
Schedule
The Playlist Schedule is the final piece of the hierarchy. The schedule controls when content is shown based on a calendar. If you have an event occurring in the space, we built this scheduling feature so your team is able to select a window of time for a specific playlist to be displayed. The selected playlist will continuously loop from the first slide to the last slide within the set schedule time. When the selected date and time arrives, the scheduled playlist will be shown on the display. After the selected end date and time, the scheduled playlist will be replaced by the default playlist or another scheduled playlist.

Video Towers
General Schedule
Fiercely Forward Template
Multi Image Template
Kaliedoscope Template
All assets uploaded to the slide system for the video towers need to be formatted to a 4320px by 7680px canvas. Please use the template Jack Porter has provided for this media mapping in order to visualize where the towers crop the uploaded assets. This display is a portrait 8K canvas, but only the top portion of the canvas is displayed. Anchor all content to the top left of the asset with empty space to the bottom.
Conklin Ring Wall
Ring Stories
You'll need to find the story you need to edit and click the edit button to enter. Dinner ring is the only story that calls for an image to be displayed. The rest of the posts should be text only. If you need to add a symbol story, we will need to add the location on the 3D model of the ring on the wall.
Alumni Database
The database is a single file upload that is moderated by our team at the moment. If you upload a new database we will need to ensure the nomenclature of the file and columns are the same as to not lose connection with the display.
Class Statistics
This a list of all the years in Clemson history. It takes inputs for University President, Total Enrollment and Palmetto Game stats. If Clemson won the rivalry game, display the "Palmetto Bowl Score" and input the score of the game. If Clemson lost the rivalry game, select "All Time Rivalry Record" and input the win-to-win stats.

The Sports and On Campus content will take a small paragraph and an image connected to it. The In the News content does not take images.
