Things to do Beyond Campus

With Clemson’s main campus located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, various hiking trails that range from easy to advanced difficulty are nearby. Some favorites include Table Rock Trail in Table Rock State Park, Yellow Branch Falls Trail in Sumter National Forest and Rainbow Falls Trail in Jones Gap State Park.

Take in the natural beauty of the city of Clemson just outside of downtown at this lakefront green space featuring a walking trail, boardwalk and benches.

Bordering Sumter National Forest, Stumphouse Park includes the hand-dug Stumphouse Tunnel and Issaqueena Falls. Hike the Blue Ridge Railroad or Stumphouse Passage of the Palmetto trails, or take a ride in Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park.

Boat, fish or swim at this 18,500-acre man-made lake that offers 300 miles of shoreline.

Winding through Fountain Inn, Greenville and Travelers Rest, the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 28-mile walking and biking trail for recreation, fitness and fun.
